• This is an all-ages event. Please note that performances are not censored, and attendance for minors is at the parent or guardian’s discretion.
• Seating is first come, first served. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own chairs. We will also have designated standing areas available throughout the event.
• This is an outdoor event, but there is a building attached to the venue available for attendees who may want to step inside due to weather conditions such as heat, rain, or other outdoor elements.
• Please dress appropriately for the weather and consider bringing jackets or other clothing items to stay comfortable in hot, cold, or changing conditions.
• The show will continue if it rains. However, in the case of severe or unsafe weather conditions, the event will be postponed and a new date will be announced.
• Tickets are refundable only up until the start of the event. Once the event has officially begun, tickets are no longer eligible for refunds.
• By attending, guests understand that photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional and social media purposes.

Meet Everkesia: Poet, Author, and Visionary Behind I Am Poetry
I Am Poetry began in my mama’s backyard — with a microphone, a homemade stage, a bonfire burning, and my family as my very first audience. What started as a personal outlet — a space I created simply because I needed somewhere to release and be heard — slowly grew into something bigger than me. Those intimate backyard nights led me to curate my very first I Am Poetry Open Mic Show in 2023, and today, we’re filling venues across Tampa Bay with poets, artists, and storytellers sharing their truth. What began as a vulnerable moment has evolved into a thriving creative community — a space where voices are amplified, stories are honored, and poetry is lived out loud.
Poetry isn't just something we write, it's something we live.

To sign up to perform at the I Am Poetry Open Mic Show, follow these steps:
- Get a Performer's Ticket – You must purchase a performer's ticket to reserve your spot. Performer tickets are available online at www.iampoetry.shop and Eventbrite.
- Check-In Upon Arrival – On the day of the show, head to the entrance to check in. After checking in, you will sign the performer’s list, which determines the order of performances for the night.
- Music Submission & DJ Check-In – If you have music for your performance.

How do I sign up to be a vendor?
To sign up as a vendor at the upcoming I Am Poetry Open Mic Show, follow these steps:
- Fill Out the Vendor Application – All vendors must complete the vendor application before securing a spot. Visit www.iampoetry.shop to access and submit the application.
- Secure Your Vendor Spot – Once your application is approved, you’ll need to purchase a vendor ticket to confirm your space. Vendor slots are limited, so sign up early to guarantee your spot.
- Complete Vendor Registration – After securing your spot, you may receive an email with additional details regarding setup instructions and event logistics. Be sure to provide accurate contact information during checkout.
- Event Day Check-In & Setup – On the day of the event:
- Engage & Sell – Bring your best products, display them creatively, and interact with attendees to make the most of your vendor experience!

- General admission: $20 (price varies for our festival)
- Performer tickets: $5

Can I buy tickets at the door?
- Yes, you can purchase tickets at the door. Though keep in mind, Tickets are limited and sell out fast, so it’s strongly recommended to purchase online in advance. Door sales are not guaranteed.
